Women love it, crave it, and ask for it by name. This 100% Parisian hair technique – Le Brushing – was the invention of Patrick Alès, founder of PHYTO, in the mid 1960’s breaking the hair styling mould. Patenting ‘Le Brushing’ technique, his styling defined an era – hairstyles went from the structured and over styled ‘50’s coiffure’ to the more natural trends of the swinging ‘60’s; Patrick’s own client, Brigitte Bardot, became a poster girl for the new look.

To help create lift and volume from the root to tip of hair start by applying PHYTOVOLUME ACTIF. This heat activated protein-rich volumizing spray boosts at the root, thickens the diameter of each hair strand and maintains volume throughout the day.
Before blow drying, use Phytokeratine Extreme cream or Phytokeratine Spray on hair to protect from heat stying. Begin by blow drying the hair closest to the nape of the neck and work your way up. Ensure to dry the roots keeping about six inches away from your scalp. Maintain this distance throughout to prevent burning.
TIP: Never blow dry in an upwards motion against the cuticle as this can cause frizz and damage the hair. By drying the hair closest to your scalp, it also prevents the moisture from moving down the hair.
Take the section between the index and middle finger close to the root and clip the section in a barrel curl. Repeat for remaining sections on the crown, moving from the forehead to the back of the crown followed by the right and left sides of the head.
Apply a small amount of PHYTODÉFRISANT botanical straightening balm, distributing it evenly from mid-lengths to ends. This plant-based, heat-activated, relaxing balm hydrates, softens and protects frizzy hair prepping it for a smooth and sleek blow-out. Separate your hair into sections using hair clips depending on the density and amount of hair.
Once dry, start at the top, taking a round brush and a section of hair from the root. Roll the brush in a backwards motion and focus the dryer nozzle over the top and side of the section being brushed and pull the brush through the lengths to the ends. Make sure to use consistent tension with your brush to get the desired smoothness and bounce.
Once finished and fully clipped, spray with PHYTOLAQUE SOIE for hold and shine.Allow hair to cool for at least 3-5 minutes. Unclip the entire set, and work fingers or brush through the hair to adjust the tresses. Finish with a last spray of PHYTOLAQUE SOIE.
